ELECTRIC

Electrical diagnostics

Check-engine, no-start, and faults that come and go.

A trouble code tells you where to start looking, not what to replace. We scan the vehicle, test the circuit or component the code points at, and confirm the fault before you spend money on it.

  • Check-engine & warning lights
  • No-start & no-crank diagnosis
  • Intermittent faults
  • Parasitic draw & battery drain
  • Any make, gas or diesel
ELECTRIC

Batteries, starters & alternators

Slow crank, no crank, flat every Monday morning.

A no-start can be the battery, the starter, the alternator or a bad connection — and they all feel the same from the driver's seat. We test the whole starting and charging system so the right part gets replaced, not both.

  • Battery testing, sales & installation
  • Starters & alternators replaced
  • Charging-system testing
  • Heavy-truck & equipment batteries
  • Also sold over the counter
ELECTRIC

Wiring & harness repair

Chafed looms, bad grounds, somebody else's splices.

Corroded grounds, connectors that have been apart one too many times, and repairs somebody else made with tape. We trace the circuit and repair it properly instead of chasing the symptom.

  • Harness & loom repair
  • Connector & terminal repair
  • Ground & corrosion faults
  • Trailer wiring & brake controllers
  • Accessory install & upfitting
ELECTRIC

12V & 24V systems

Light vehicles through heavy trucks and equipment.

Twelve-volt light-vehicle systems through twenty-four-volt heavy-truck starting and charging — plus the farm, forklift and shop equipment most auto shops turn away.

  • 12V light-vehicle systems
  • 24V heavy-truck systems
  • Farm & equipment electrical
  • Forklifts & construction equipment
  • Lights, winches & upfitting

Diesel

DIESEL

Diesel engine repair

From a knock or a leak through to a full overhaul.

PowerStroke and Duramax are what we're strongest on. A knock, a leak, a loss of power or blow-by gets diagnosed before anything comes apart, and we handle the repair through to a full overhaul.

  • Diagnosis before teardown
  • Glow plugs & cold-weather starting
  • Gasket & seal leaks
  • Engine repair & overhaul
  • PowerStroke 7.3 / 6.0 / 6.4 / 6.7
  • Duramax LB7 through L5P
DIESEL

Injectors & fuel systems

Injectors, injection pumps and lift pumps.

Rough running, hard starting, smoke or a fuel knock usually comes back to the fuel system. We test on the vehicle before anything is condemned — injectors are expensive to guess at.

  • Injectors tested & replaced
  • Injection pumps
  • Lift & transfer pumps
  • Fuel filters & water separators
  • Hard-start diagnosis
DIESEL

Turbos, emissions & regens

The faults that put a truck into limp mode.

EGR, DPF, DEF and regens that won't complete are what park a work truck. We diagnose the aftertreatment system and repair it so it works the way it is supposed to — plus turbo, boost and wastegate faults.

  • EGR, DPF & DEF faults
  • Regens that won't complete
  • Turbochargers & boost faults
  • Variable-geometry & wastegate
  • Computer diagnostics & programming
DIESEL

Drivetrain & air brakes

Clutches, driveline, air brakes, hydraulics and PTO.

The heavy end of the shop: heavy-duty transmissions and clutches, driveline vibration, air-brake systems, and the hydraulics and power take-off on a work truck or a piece of equipment.

  • Heavy-duty transmissions & clutches
  • Driveline & differential
  • Air brakes, valves & chambers
  • Hydraulics & PTO
  • Forklifts & construction equipment

General repair

GENERAL

Brake repair

Grinding, squealing or a soft pedal.

Grinding, squealing, a soft pedal or a pull to one side all point at the brake system. We inspect pads, shoes, rotors, drums, hoses and fluid, then tell you what actually needs replacing.

  • Brake pads & shoes
  • Rotors & drums
  • Calipers, hoses & lines
  • Brake fluid service
  • Brake inspection
GENERAL

Oil changes & maintenance

Conventional, synthetic blend, full synthetic and diesel.

Oil is the lifeblood of the engine. We drain, refill and replace the filter with what your vehicle actually calls for — gas or diesel — then look it over while it's up on the rack.

  • Conventional, blend & full synthetic
  • Diesel oil & filter service
  • Fluids & filters — transmission, diff, brake, coolant
  • New filter every service
  • A look over the vehicle
GENERAL

A/C & heating

Blowing warm? We'll find out why.

An A/C system that blows warm is usually low on refrigerant because something is leaking. We check for leaks, test the compressor and controls, recharge the system and confirm it holds — including the electrical side.

  • Leak check & recharge
  • Compressor & clutch testing
  • Blower, controls & vents
  • Heater & heater-core issues
  • A/C electrical faults
GENERAL

General repair

Misfires, knocks, leaks — and everything in between.

We're a full-service repair shop first. Gas engine repair, misfires, knocks, leaks and the drivability faults that two other shops have already guessed at. Bring it in, tell us what it's doing, and we'll diagnose it and tell you straight what it needs.

  • General repairs, small to major
  • Gas engine repair
  • Exhaust work
  • Cars, trucks & SUVs
  • Foreign & domestic
GENERAL

Suspension & steering

Rough ride, clunks, wander and uneven tire wear.

Worn shocks, struts, bushings and joints show up as a rough ride, clunks over bumps, a wandering steering wheel or tires wearing unevenly. We inspect the whole front end and replace what's actually worn.

  • Shocks & struts
  • Ball joints & tie rods
  • Control arms & bushings
  • Wheel bearings
  • Front-end inspection
GENERAL

Transmission service

Fluid and filter service, leaks, and repairs.

Transmission fluid breaks down with heat and miles. Service keeps shifts clean and catches trouble early — and when something is already wrong, we diagnose it before recommending a repair.

  • Automatic & manual fluid service
  • Filter replacement
  • Leak inspection
  • Shift & slipping diagnosis
GENERAL

Cooling system & antifreeze

Stop overheating before it costs an engine.

Overheating is one of the fastest ways to ruin an engine — gas or diesel. We pressure-test for leaks and service the radiator, hoses, thermostat, water pump and coolant so the system holds temperature year round.

  • Coolant drain & refill
  • Radiator & hose service
  • Thermostat & water pump
  • Pressure & leak testing
  • Diesel cooling systems
GENERAL

DOT & pre-purchase inspections

Licensed for DOT inspections, performed in-house.

We're licensed for DOT inspections and perform them here, so a work truck doesn't have to go somewhere else to get signed off. We'll also give a vehicle an honest look over before you buy it.

  • DOT inspections
  • Pre-purchase inspections
  • Tires sold & installed
  • Welding, fabrication & machine shop
  • Fleet & commercial welcome
04Straight answers

Before you call

Do I need an appointment?

An appointment is better — it means we've set time aside for you — but walk-ins are welcome. Call ahead if you can.

How long will my vehicle be there?

Two to three days is typical. Diagnosis usually comes back the same day or the next. If a job is going to run longer, you'll hear it from us before we start.

Are estimates free?

On some jobs, yes. Some diagnosis takes real bench time and isn't free. Ask when you call and you'll get a straight answer before anything is committed.

What does the warranty cover?

12 months or 12,000 miles on the work we do, whichever comes first.

Do you work on diesels other than Ford and GM?

PowerStroke and Duramax are our bread and butter. Bring anything else by — if it's outside what we take, we'll tell you that up front rather than tie up your truck.

Do you rebuild starters and alternators?

No — we replace them, so you get a new unit with a warranty on it instead of a bench rebuild. We also sell batteries, starters and alternators over the counter.

Can I drop the vehicle off after you close?

Yes. There's a key box on site for after-hours drop-off, and vehicles can stay overnight — at the owner's risk.

Do you have a loaner?

Yes, a loaner vehicle is available. Ask when you book so we can make sure it's free.

Do you come to me?

Sometimes. On-site and mobile work is case by case, up to about 50 miles from the shop. We also tow — call and we'll work out which makes sense.
